A long-time Canon shooter who bought the X100VI for a lighter camera that doesn't tire their wrist. Not perfect but very workable, and they enjoy it; the fixed lens stops them hauling extra lenses.

“It's not perfect, but it's very workable and due to its popularity I figured I could sell it and not take a big loss.”

Says the X100VI's fixed-lens focus motor is slow and buzzy, so they don't even use continuous autofocus; blames the lens rather than the processor, which matches the X-M5's.

“The X100VI lens motor is slow and buzzy. In a compact lens, they didn't exactly have room to plunk a linear motor in there!”

Their X100VI's shutter speed dial has stopped matching the speed it actually shoots at, jumping around randomly, so photos come out at the wrong shutter speed. A reset didn't fix it.

“When I turn the physical dial on top of the camera, the shutter speed on the screen doesn't match what I actually set it to.”

Owns the X-E5, X-T50 and X100VI, and uses the X100VI the most because they love its 35mm field of view.

“I have X-E5, XT-50, and X100VI. I use the X100VI the most, but I also really love the 35mm FOV.”

Finds their X100VI unreliable for video when relying on autofocus, unlike their X-M5, which they can leave on a tripod without worrying about missed focus.

“I find the x100vi unreliable for video at least when relying on autofocus. I have found myself able to leave my XM5 on a tripod without worrying about it missing focus.”
